BP_4 Web 2.0 Tool

http://www.getdropbox.com
I've chosen Dropbox as my Web 2.0 tool for this week. I always find myself looking for my thumb drive when it's time for me to download my papers or some document that I 've created at home for school and can't remember whether or not I saved it on the share drive at school or where. So I subscribed to Dropbox and now I have access everywhere I go and it doesn't require me to keep up with a thumb drive .I just log into Dropbox at my PC or Mac even via iPhone and my documents are right there. It is free and simple to download. I've included snapshots of my page with folders that I have set up within my account. Try it!

  1. I did it! This is such a wonderful tool; of course, I don't think it'll actually get me organized, but I do think it'll help! I've been worrying because my mac is running a lot slower this week, and I was thinking it's because I've piled up too much stuff on it again. (When I've got time, I'm going to sit down and delete the two extra copies of each of my pictures from the 10,000 mile cross-country trip two years ago. So, like, that'll be in July.) This will definitely clear some room. It will also make me very happy not to have to lug my mac back & forth to school. (Of course, I could use a flash drive; but first, I'd have to find time to transfer stuff, and then it'd turn out to be the wrong stuff; and second, it wouldn't matter anyway because I'd lose the darn thing before I got it plugged in at school.) One more way Gina's enhanced my life!
